Design to enjoy

LetterJoy was founded in 2013 by Sarah Beeny. Having completed an MA in Ceramic Design for Production at Staffordshire University, Sarah then spent over ten happy years in the design industry, creating products for living. She had the pleasure of working for M&S, Next, House of Fraser, Dunelm Mill. Portmeirion and Royal Doulton. After gained experience she had the confidence to start her own business, we know today as LetterJoy.

Following being given the all clear after breast cancer treatment in 2020, Sarah was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer with extensive liver involvement. She did her best to fight through, but very sadly died in April 2022.

This difficult time led her sister Rachel Beeny Walker to consider how to move forward the business Sarah so lovingly developed. In memory and legacy to Sarahs's hard work, Rachel decided to keep LetterJoy alive, and is here for you to explore.
