Our environment matters
All of our primary materials are ethically sourced.
Working Ethos
At LetterJoy, planning ahead is a central component of sustainable design. Work begins with sketches and ideas before any wood is cut or any paint is brushed. Fully conceptualising and refining each design beforehand helps us to reduce material waste.
For bespoke customer requests we strive to work collaboratively with you at every stage. Our combined efforts minimise energy usage in the workshop.
We make quality a habit. We don't make things quickly, we make things right. We spend our time hand picking and shaping pieces that you will hopefully share the rest of your life with.
Our Values
We care about our planet. For this reason, LetterJoy aims to be operating sustainably and ethically at every level.
LetterJoy products are made using sustainable and premium grade recycled resources. We recover our wood materials from the furniture industry which would otherwise be sent to landfill. We ensure the birch plywood and paint we use on our products is low-VOC. Our paint is exclusively reclaimed from recycled sources, charities and social enterprises.
Surrounded by beautiful Yorkshire landscapes, it is only right that our workshop is stocked with only the finest local materials that haven't had to travel far to get to us.
